Hey there,

My name is Cameron, but most just call me "Cam".

Photography, for me, is about paying attention. Landscapes, wildlife, and people all hold something different, but the thread is the same—being present long enough to catch what most people miss. I’m not trying to stage moments or chase perfect conditions. I’m interested in what’s actually there: how a place feels, how people move through it, and how those two things intersect.

If the image works, it doesn’t need much explanation. You can feel it.

Along the Way.

I first picked up a camera in college simply to capture the things we did - backpacking, fishing, biking, or climbing...one weekend at a time. What began as a pile of images to scroll through after class quickly became motivation for pulling out the map to plan the next early morning or odd, half baked adventure.

Today I find myself moving through a variety of ocean focused careers, working in roles dedicated to both understanding coastal ecosystems and finding and maintaining balance to how we interact with these places. Humans are drawn to water, to coastal places for their beauty, resources, and sense of wonder. That is why I find these places so interesting, and why so much of my photography is made up by images from them. Though I will admit - sometimes it is quite hard to commit to the camera when the fish are biting, or the surf is good. The fish usually win me over.

Alongside the science and policy, I’ve continued to adapt my creative outlets, building a creative agency with my brother that brings ideas to life through film, photography, and brand storytelling. At the end of the day, both observation and creativity gives way to new perspectives and fresh ideas. So whether I find myself on a research cruise, site casting to a school of fish, or simply going for a drive down my favorite mountain road, my creative practice remains central to my identity and purpose.

I hope a few of these images speak to you, make you smile, or spark some kind of desire to go look for yourself. Out of the tens of thousands of images captured over the years, the ones I have chosen for this website are the most special to me. Art is meant to be shared with everyone, and my photography is no different. So scroll, click, or maybe even shoot me a message or buy a print. I'm just happy you're here.

Say hello.

Collaborate.

Whatever.

Maybe you see an image that speaks to you. A print perhaps? Or maybe you just simply want to connect for a project. Feel free to shoot me a message and lets make it happen. New stories are being written every day.
